In 1992 Bebe married for the first time, to musician Coyote Shivers, a much younger man. However, the marriage ended in 1998, and their divorce became final in 1999. Bebe, who is now married to musician Jim Wallerstein, splits her time between her homes in New York and Portland, Maine. She performs occasionally in nightclubs as a solo act. Her autobiography, 'Rebel Heart: An American Rock and Roll Journey', was published in 2001.It's not the smattering of records that former model/groupie Bebe Buell has issued that she's best known for, but rather her stormy affairs with a variety of rockers, as well as being the mother of actress Liv Tyler. Born on July 14, 1953, and raised in Virginia, Buell was smitten by rock & roll at an early age, first by Elvis Presley, before the Beatles and the Rolling Stones invaded the U.S. Buell's mother encouraged her daughter to pursue a career in modeling, and when she was 18 years old, she relocated to New York City and began a career as a Ford model. Shortly thereafter, Buell began a relationship with Todd Rundgren, who had just begun one of the most commercially successful periods of his career. It was through Rundgren that Buell met rock photographer Lynn Goldsmith, who convinced the model to take some test photos for Playboy magazine. The plan worked, as Buell became a Playboy Playmate in 1974. Besides Rundgren, Buell subsequently dated some of rock's biggest names - Led Zeppelin's Jimmy Page, Iggy Pop, Rod Stewart, the Dead Boys' Stiv Bators, and Elvis Costello. Buell also had a whirlwind romance with Aerosmith's Steven Tyler during 1976 - which ended when Buell was alarmed by Tyler's drug abuse. Currently Bebe is the singer in a band, ob-la-di, ob-la-da. She was just 17, you know what I mean, when she caught the eye of Todd Rundgren and thus began her rock and roll life. Anyroad, besides being arm-candy for 70's rockers, Bebe also had a career as a model back when she was 'god-head'. Now, if you want to sleep with them, well, that's up to you, er, them? Whatever. I mean who doesn't want to hang out with musicians? Because that's what groupies do, that's the original meaning for it anyway. Most of the people I know would be groupies too, don't deny it.

But as far as I'm concerned, if your list of musician lovers is more than 3, then my dear, you are a GROUPIE.

(Elvis said most of the songs on the album were already written before she came along, and I tend to believe him). Bebe Buell is probably the most gorgeous of all groupies, although she says she prefers the term 'muse.' Now, I'm not quite sure what songs she has inspired, besides Chester French's 'Bebe Buell' and those Elvis Costello songs on Armed Forces she claims to have been the inspiration for.
